Fits Deluxe and Gold "Round Exhale Valve" update ( does not fit the older HW SCUBA )
This is a reproduction new silicone diaphragm that fit into the valve holder which is situated inside the bottom can of the body. Fits into the Healthways Deluxe and Gold only - does not fit the first version with the little duckbill.
*Please use extreme caution when you install the new exhale valve, to prevent damage to the valve carrier. After you haver removed the old exhale valve, be sure to clean the surface, then inspect the 3 very thin metal strips that converge to meet at the center hole for the valve stem. Note that these thin metal strips are easy to bend, and they may already be bent. Ensure that they are sitting flat before you proceed to install the new valve.
Put a dot of liquid dish soap in the center hole, then insert the tip of the stem.
DO NOT PUSH ON THE CENTER - or you will damage the 3 thin metal strips. Rather than push in, you will grip the tip of the new valve stem and gently pull. The goal is to get the flange ( Bell-End ) of the valve stem past the center hole, so it is locked into the holder. It helps if you lift the valve to watch progress as the flange slides through the hole past the bell.
